Today, PROFIT Magazine and Chatelaine announced its 15th annual ranking of Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs (W100). Calgary-based Ryan Murphy Construction Inc. placed on the prestigious list.
“We are thrilled to have made the list this year!” exclaims Lara Murphy, co-owner of Ryan Murphy Construction Inc. “With over one million businesses being owned by women in Canada, we feel honoured.”
“Our business just celebrated its five-year anniversary in September, and this is definitely a fabulous way to look forward to the next five,” says Karen Ryan, the other half of Ryan Murphy Construction Inc.
Founded in 2008, Ryan Murphy Construction Inc. is a female-owned and operated general contracting company that provides a wide range of outstanding construction, renovation, management and maintenance services. Based in Calgary, Alberta, they are known for professionalism and high-quality standards, flexibility in handling a diverse project portfolio of clients from Tommy Hilfiger to Calgary flood-relief victims, which they were a part of when their own office flooded in June.
“This year’s W100 are a dream group of ambitious forward thinking entrepreneurs who defy outdated notions of female entrepreneurship,” says Ian Portsmouth, publisher and editor-in-chief of PROFIT Magazine. “They are running sophisticated and sizable businesses in challenging industries and finding new ways to operate and innovate for growth and sustainability.”
Based on the size, growth rate, and profitability of female-owned businesses, the rankings will be published in the November issue of PROFIT Magazine, Chatelaine’s December issue and online at PROFITguide.com and Chatelaine.com
