Keeping with the aesthetic and brand recognition of Village Ice Cream, their Garrison location in Calgary’s Marda Loop neighbourhood is as well-known and popular as their other sites. Located at one of the most vibrant intersections in the community at 24th Street and 34th Avenue SW, the shop encourages the social aspect of going out for ice cream by offering standing and sitting areas for visitors inside and outside.

This artisanal ice cream shop makes their own small-batch, freshly churned hard ice cream onsite, allowing customers to witness the process through an interior window below the chalkboard menu detailing their custom flavours, sizes and options.

We created the custom concrete patio that accommodates bench-style seating for both small and large parties, and on warm days, the extensive fold-out windows open, creating a seamless transition between the shop and the night air.
