Shoppes at the Devenish

Built in 1911, Calgary’s Devenish Apartments building at 9th Street and 17th Avenue SW was transformed into both residential living and small-business shops. Each space within the building is very unique, and the renovations we completed varied, from demising walls to floor refinishing to new cabinetry and plumbing.

This showpiece of urban style was designed with large banks of windows and balconies emphasizing light and space. We made changes to various boutique retailers, interior designers, office spaces and common areas of the Devenish, including new coffered plaster ceiling tiles, marble-tile restoration at the entrances and new washrooms on all floors. We also completed the lighting and signage for the building’s exterior and restored the balconies and window parging.
