First Street Market

Located at the base of The Underwood Tower in Victoria Park, this licensed food hall features 10 vendors and a heated 50-seat patio that backs onto Haultain Park. The existing heritage front entrance is in an Edwardian-era commercial building faced with red brick and sandstone detailing, which was built in 1911 by Thomas Underwood, a successful Calgary builder, contractor and developer. The floor space was paramount in this design, giving us the opportunity to be creative with the ductwork and mechanical room. The existing rear aluminum-framed glass nana wall can be opened to invite the outdoors inside, allowing for creative opportunities in the hall and creating an unobstructed view of the city.
