Telus Spark Ice Cream Café
In a once empty space within the Telus Spark Science Centre, we constructed a colourful and dynamic ice cream and coffee café in collaboration with Dialog Architecture. To save space on seating for the café, we built an oversized bookcase and cozy undulating booths underneath an adjacent stairwell. The large, curved serving counter comes out of a 40’ tall wall featuring 1476 drilled holes that each contain lights to give the illusion of outer space (and help with acoustics), and a giant red rocket created from recycled bottles is suspended from the ceiling!
